New for 2007, Mamasita brings her 29-inch wheels to the starting line and starts swinging her hips. Look out! Designed as a racing frame, our scandium/carbon Mamasita is the evolution of our Moto Rapido into the 29’er format. There’s a lot more than big wheels happening here though folks. The specially shaped scandium chainstays (similar to our Dos Niner model) and our new carbon seatstays eliminate lateral flex. This stiffens the bottom bracket area and rear triangle, and maximizes the efficiency of each pedal stroke. The chainstays and seatstays also work together to soak up trail vibration, while not removing the feel of the trail from beneath your wheels. Our goal was to design a frame that took the sting out of the surface, without making the bike feel dead. Geometry-wise, we’ve spiced Mamasita up. Optimized around an 80mm travel RockShox Reba 29’er fork, the Mamasita’s handling is just slightly quicker than that of our Dos Niner and El Mariachi. We believe the go-fast crowd will appreciate the nimbler handling, especially while keeping the bike pinned on the racecourse. Mamasita. Not just pretty fast. Pretty and fast!
